Interested in joining our up-and-coming AHA Louisville Young Professionals Board?

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Becoming an advocate for the AHA publicly and within spheres of influence
• Attending 75% of scheduled board meetings (at least 3 of the 4 meetings)
• Actively participating in mission related events and activities
• Supporting the recruitment and development of a board that is representative of the community demographics
• Engaging your company with the mission of the AHA, and working to secure their financial support
• Supporting fundraising efforts by making an annual personal gift to the AHA
• Developing a young professional fundraising event designed to raise funds and awareness among local young professionals
• Joining our You’re the Cure Advocacy network, and actively taking action to advance our advocacy priorities
• Engaging with the American Heart Association by participating on a committee for one of our signature events

IN RETURN FOR YOUR COMMITMENT AND SUPPORT, THE AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION WILL:
• Provide you with mentoring and networking opportunities with other young professionals and the Louisville Metro Executive Board of Directors 
• Invite you to participate in AHA mission and networking events
• Share education and AHA mission-related tools and resources to educate you, your family, and colleagues about heart health
• Provide AHA administrative support for your work on the Young Professional Board
• Provide an opportunity to gain valuable non-profit leadership experience
