As a general rule with anything American Heart Association related, we are asked to share our "why" for participating in events. My dad is my "why". I choose to donate my time as the Chair of the Auction Committee because of my father. He passed away 8 short years ago at the young age of 50 from a very sudden unexpected heart attack. As a nurse, I was able to care for him in his last days and vowed myself to continue his legacy by helping raise awareness and fund research through the American Heart Association. This is my passion because he was my hero and I am so thankful for all those who support my passion and drive!
Generous donors like you help us reach our goals to expand research and learn more about this terrible disease that effects nearly every American. There are over 750 potential auction participants at Heart Ball that generously support our cause every year and we are beyond excited to see what this year brings.
I implore you to consider a donation because of the impact the AHA has on our community and the potential that someone you know is personally affected by heart disease. You can make a difference.
