
Jill Bell
Go Red For Women Movement Chair
As Vice President, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for Passport Health Plan, Jill is responsible for marketing and communications, government relations, and community and media affairs. Passport, based in Louisville, Kentucky, is a non-profit, provider-sponsored plan covering 300,000 Medicaid members and 1,200 Medicare Advantage members. Jill has over 25 years’ experience in health care.
Prior to joining Passport Health Plan, Jill was the Field Marketing Manager for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She was responsible for implementing the statewide community relations, public relations and media strategies for the corporation. She also managed the $6.2 million Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kentucky Foundation and the statewide marketing and sales support functions. She served as Vice President of Marketing for Acordia of Louisville, a full service brokerage company and prior to joining Anthem, Jill was the Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kentucky. Jill served as Vice President and Managing Director for the Kentucky Derby Festival prior to joining the health care industry.

Jill’s accomplishments include receiving the 2013 Most Admired Woman Award from Today’s Woman; the 2010 Catholic School Alumnae Award from the Catholic Education Foundation; and was named a member of the Class of 2002 Corporate Achievers by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. In 1996, she was named by Business First as one of the top 40 leaders under the age of 40 in the Louisville community, and was also named a finalist for the Business First Touchstone Award. Jill received the Young Careerist award in 1994 from Business and Professional Women of River City and in 1995 captured the title of Young Careerist for the Kentucky North region. Mercy Academy gave her the Outstanding Alumnae Award in 1994.
Ms. Bell received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Louisville. She is a graduate of Duke University’s Executive Leadership Forum, the Leadership Louisville Program, and the Leadership Kentucky Program. She resides in Louisville, Kentucky, with husband, Tom and her Labrador retriever, Rudy. She has two children, Rachel and Tommy.
